The garden has given us great pleasure and provided us with good fresh home-grown produce, which we also make into chutneys, jellies and jams.
We have a large garden in semi-rural Leicestershire. This blog is about what we do and what's happening out there because of - or in spite of - our rather amateur gardening efforts. We grow vegetables, we have an orchard with apples, plums and pears, as well as an extensive ornamental garden. Surrounded by fields we enjoy many species of birds, frogs & toads and occasional foxes and other four-legged visitors. Enjoy!
About Froggarts Cottage Garden
We inherited a wonderful garden when we moved herein 2006. The previous owners had converted 4 small workmens' cottages into a large family home and added an adjoining bungalow for their parents. Over many years they created a beautiful garden of flowers and shrubs with interesting features such as a bog garden and fern garden. It was a work of art and love. At the top of the garden is the working area: 3 good-size vegetable plots, rows of currants and raspberries and a small orchard with apples, plums and pears.
The garden has given us great pleasure and provided us with good fresh home-grown produce, which we also make into chutneys, jellies and jams.
